What better topic to write my first blog post about than my obsession with bohemian interiors?
I just can’t get enough of the relaxed combinations of textures, colors, and patterns in boho spaces. I especially love when this mix includes a chic and feminine flair to soften up the vibe.
Today I’m sharing with you some of my absolute favorite chic, bohemian spaces and how to achieve this vibe in your own home!
MIX IT UP
Break all the rules by mixing and mis-matching patterns, colors, and textures to your heart’s content. Using a unique mix of bold patterns and pops of color is how you achieve that eclectic, boho look. To keep the space from looking too overwhelming, be sure to keep a few things neutral or a solid color to break it up.
KEEP IT LIGHT
If bold colors aren’t your style, then keep the space light and bright. Be sure to incorporate a wide variety of soft textures in natural, neutral tones. Also, ensuring there is plenty of natural light will do wonders to your space!
My favorite way to instantly upgrade a space to create a boho feel is to add an antique-style rug! Without changing any other element in the room, this will instantly create a lively, bohemian vibe.
A TOUCH OF CHIC
Bohemian elements + feminine touches = boho chic. Add soft, feminine touches to your space by incorporating (faux) fur throws and pillows, gold metal finishes, and metallics.
Nothing says “bohemian” like long, light, draping fabric. Try using hooks to drape light-weight fabric or sheer curtains over your space to create a airy and cozy canopy.
Add touches of string lights and green plants throughout your space to take it a step further. Get creative, and wrap the lights around something like a wooden ladder, the headboard of your bed, or even tree branches.
Incorporate a mix of your favorite plants to add life to the space. Not only will they make you feel amazing, but they will also give your space a natural boho feel.
I guarantee if you follow these tips and guidelines, you’ll have your dream boho chic space in no time! Let me know in the comments which space was your favorite!
